Meet Sandy!

Born in Decatur, Illinois, Sandra G. Hudson (Sandy) has been joyously singing for many years. After hearing the gospel message, she gave her life to the Lord at the early age of 12. In the 1980's Sandy relocated to Memphis, TN, where she worshipped and sang in the choir under Apostle G.E. Patterson at Temple of Deliverance, the Cathedral of Bountiful Blessings.

As other opportunities arose, Sandy made the move to her next church home, where she served and worshipped for 20 years. She was an active member of The New St. Paul Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Detroit, MI, where Bishop P.A. Brooks was the Pastor and Bishop.

Sandy, who is known for her high soprano tones, has taught at the Clark Conservatory School of Music. She also provided private vocal lessons for a number of years. Sandra became a member of the “Thomas Whitfield Company” in 1986 and eventually stood out as one of the lead soloist of the choir. Her distinct voice can be heard on “Healing Hands” on the “…And They Sang A Hymn” CD, “Alive and Satisfied, A tribute to the Maestro: Minister Whitfield“ and “Still.” Additionally, she was a guest soloist on Rodney Posey’s CD. With the Whitfield Company, she was a guest on “The Today’s Show” and  performed at The Stellar Awards.

In 1991, Sandy began touring annually with T.J. Hemphill’'s hit musical play, “Perilous Times.”

She was also asked to sing at Jennifer Holiday's wedding in 1993 by the personal request of Ms. Holiday.

After receiving a job transfer, Sandy relocated to San Antonio, Texas, where she joined New Creation Christian Fellowship, under the leadership of Bishop David Michael Copeland and Pastor Claudette Anderson Copeland, co-founders and co-Pastors.

Occasionally Sandy enjoys ministering musically at various conferences and music conventions across the United States. She often collaborates with her siblings at these functions and is known throughout the Midwest as a member of the Hudson Sisters. The two had the opportunity to travel to together to the country of Austria where Sandy ministered in song.  Sandy was also recorded as guest soloist with Larry McCullough and Chosen Generation of Greenville, South Carolina.

More recently, Sandy became the Musical Director over Freedom Chapel at The Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. Starting September of 2017, she will begin teaching Voice / Vocal techniques as well as starting an All Boys Choir at WILLBE Academy in San Antonio, Texas.

The list goes on as Sandy, upon every opportunity, continues to lend her voice to true worship.  She yet affirms that she “loves the Lord with all her heart and her life is totally committed to serving, pleasing, and worshipping Him in all He has given her to do through the ministry of music.”

Praise God for the awesome opportunities still to come!
